This book has the distinction of being the oldest book on my TBR pile: I know for a fact I got it in 2005, thanks to the very kind inscription from a former boss who gave this book to me as a gift. And yes, I felt SUPER FREAKING OLD when I saw that date. Yeesh. And also, why on earth did I wait that long to read this poor book LOL
This non-fiction book's subtitle says it all: "The Grammarphobe's Guide to Better English in Plain English." It's funny because the book's interior design and layout really feel nostalgic and give me that "Y2K" feeling. The book is indeed easy to understand and digest. I actually disagree with a couple of the rules presented, although I am not sure on what grounds; I guess as the kids might say these days, it's just "vibes." Not that I am in any way an expert. In any case, this would be a nice reference to check one's grammar!
