The Notebook - Nicholas Sparks
Another book read solely for the Read Outside Your Comfort Zone Challenge. As I think I've mentioned before, I am not a sentimental/romance novel type of person, and I had never read one of this author's books before because I assumed it would be that type of book. I was right - this was not my cup of tea. It was a romance novel with clunky writing and I don't like either of those things. But I gave it a fair chance, which to me is in the spirit of this challenge.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear this one didn't work for you! But I guess you win some and you lose some, and it's definitely in the spirit of the challenge to give it a try, even if what you suspect is confirmed :)
ReplyDeleteHi Danya, absolutely! For the most part I have very much enjoyed the books I have read for this challenge, and have been pleasantly surprised by that - I really do enjoy trying new things, and if there are a few clunkers, it's all in the spirit of branching out. :-)
