This is a really good question and hard to answer!
“When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?”
My response: I can't really remember not reading, and I have always been a voracious reader. As a kid I loved to go to the bookstore and beg for a new book, and go to the library and have access to almost any book I could ever hope to read. I reread my favorites over and over. As I've gotten older I definitely have less free time to read, but I still read as much as possible and I still go to the library and check out bags of books, as there are so many books out there that seem interesting. So the short answer is, reading has always been an essential part of who I am and has always been an important part of my life.
It seems that everyone was pretty young when they started to love reading. It makes me happy beacause that is one of the best things you can help your child with. The fact that so many of us developed tat passion young is awesome. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI also developed a massive love for books as a child. I think it was because my mom read to me so much. No one in my family reads. and I mean, not one person haha. Unless they have to. I, on the other hand, can't not read. I always have a book on me!

I totally agree! Books have always been my passion and I still have to take a bag for all the books I check out whenever I go to the library!
ReplyDeleteGoing to the bookstore was one of my favourite things to do as a kid!

I love your answer. I was always like a kid in a candy store when my parents took me to the bookstore. I also still leave the library with way more books than I plan to!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
I'm so with you on that! I've always loved books and even when I didn't feel I had enough time for them, I would still buy them. Whenever we went to the mall, I'd always have to stop in the bookstore. :) Thank you for visiting!
ReplyDeleteBecause we lived in a rural-ish area, bookstores were a treat that we got only if we went towards the city. Instead, we had garage sales. My mom used to stop at them from time to time and come home with a bunch of books she'd found for ten cents a piece. Anything that looked like I might like it, she'd snatch up. It was like Christmas all summer long.
ReplyDeleteI became a pleasure reader in my teens. I realized how important books had become in my life in 1999. Come see what happened.
ReplyDeleteHi. Old follower here. I am definitely a book enthusiast and have been for most of my life. I don't care where they come from: the store, the library, a friend... I just can't get enough of them. Hope you have a great weekend!

So true! I always get over-excited at the library and head to the checkout desk with a towering pile of books.
